Back from Japan! :D D:

The hotel we stayed in was Hotel Listel Shinjuku, which means we went to Shinjuku... We also went to Shibuya, Asakusa, Ginza... and I think a few more but i forgot :P

It's been a great opportunity to be able to play in Japan's National training centre against Japan's top 10 under 9 girls. Only if I had such a nice training environment every training session, I would be contented!
Another highlight of the trip is going to Asuka Senior High School. I was appointed 1-1 with a girl buddy called Sutefuani who is from phillipines and came to Japan only 2 years ago. The chemistry practical lesson where they were testing flame colours, was really a much more condusive learning style compared to Dunman High School's! I wouldn't mind studying there for 10 hours a day, rather than 5-6 hours in DHS daily :x
Things there are really stinking expensive! You can never find anything worth less than $1 there :x Brought back much more things than I expected, well, mostly for friends though haha.
I'm so going to learn Japanese and go back there soon! :D

Worried about youth camp, don't know anyone there... But I can make new friends :D

Cause i'm gonna miss 180, miss net, miss sunday service...

The Japan trip is some YOG exchange program, so it's a school trip and might not be that fun D:

I've been thinking about many many stuff over these few days...
Well, still glad to have such awesome net yesterday.
Gonna buy many presents and gifts back from Japan!
Gonna have to start creating a list of to-buy-fors ._.

Instead of talking about hate, I'll change my previous post to talk about how awesome net was.
Today's net was the most awesome net ever even though we only had 4 people. God's presence was so strong that I came with a bad bad flu but left totally well.

It's Over, feeling happy to come home because i can escape from all the heat, the rash, the itch, THE BITES!

However, I'm going to miss the time spent with my friends in camp, our cool but lame instructor Llewell.

Day 1 (Boring day)

Arrived at pulau ubin camp 2
Stock checking and preparing for Battuta store
Learnt how to Belay
Learnt how to cook food using solid fuel
Learnt how to pitch tent and unpitch tent
Instructor gave cold and lame jokes and stories...

Boring heh? haha

Day 2 (Tough day)

Rock climbing, reached the 4th pannel, but could have been better
Kayak for 1km from camp 2 to camp 1
A very weird experience bathing *U know who u are* haha
Volunteered as Expedition leader
Planned the 15km expedition for tomorrow

Day 3 (Sea Expedition day)

15km Kayaking expedition started at 9am (30mins behind schedule)
Was the Sweeper
Some people could not endure and we had to push them
Dillon Marc Tan caught 3 sword fishes during stormy weather and kept in water bottle -.-
Ended at 4.57pm (3mins ahead of schedule!!) :D
Amazed that NOBODY capsized and many people could endure
Samantha Tan's birthday and camp 2 alpha sang birthday song to her 2wice ._.
Amazed by Samantha's leadership qualities haha
Received a note asking us to pack up immediately by 9pm cause we were going to start hiking on the same night -.- The note was a scam, it was to make us ask ourselves if we have pushed ourselves to our limits like what we did for kayaking.
So late already, everyone is dead tired, Llewell (instructor) still got time to tell us 2 lame stories of his -.-

Day 4 (Land Expedition day)

Started hiking with backpacks almost our weight... Still had to carry stuff with our hands
Dillon and I were navigators for the hike and almost lost our way afew times ._.
Most memoriable jump into Query, it's so awesomely beautiful.
Nicolette had gastric pain when nearing the end, so proud of her for being able to continue on till the end.
ButHo (4D) worked together at the last station and ended up in 3rd and last placing, but it's the class spirit that matters, not the position. We work together as a class, not as individuals.
Ended the super long and tiring bag hike!! Felt dead cause I ate nothing but 3 biscuits for lunch and breakfast...
Had special food for dinner (carrot, longbean, cabbage, egg, instant noodle, garlic, onion, rice, mushroom, curry chicken)
Given 1 hour to cook our food, come up with name and meanings for our food.
Battuta added too much water to rice, fried rice became fried porridge hahahaha
Instructors made a fruit dessert specially for us, made of overtin, milo, apple and some other fruits. (highlight food for the day) haha
Felt the strong class bond, even with instructors.
Nearing the end of our 5 day adventure...

Day 5 (Memoriable Day)

Packed up, washed up, cleaned up the store
Wrote our final journal
Did our final morning circle
Did our final activity (jumping for the bell)
Received our certificate and photo
Headed for Singapore
Ended our story...

It's irritating to have 109++ mosquito bites.

It's always sucky during the last day of camp.

It's always uncomfortable to leave our instructor, our group, our class, after 5 days of strong bonds.

Throughout this camp, I'm glad that i have reached my goal i set for myself, and that is to be more courageous and step out as a leader.

However, I'm even more glad that our group, our class, has become more bonded, and wish that we will stay helpful, and bonded.

Learnt how to appreciate the nature more after the camp.

It's an unforgettable experience, and I'm glad that we came back together stronger mentally, physically.

Finally, I got a task to do for theEDGE publicity team.
I'm supposed to create like this banner or design for the sermon title 'holy' using photoshop/illustrator.
Well, i'm still in the process of thinking what to do, at the same time came up with this draft
I guess nobody will understand this, but it's just a super simple draft. Haha. It's just the beginning...
Hehe, at the same time i'm slowly building up my library, collecting different types of textures, fonts, vectors etc. SO IF ANYONE KNOWS OF ANY GOOD WEBSITE GIVING FREE DOWNLOAD OF FONTS, TEXTURES, VECTORS, PLEASE TELL ME!! haha.

So so so glad that I joined this publicity ministry. It not only enables me to serve in church, but also gives me a very very good learning opportunity, learning photoshop, illustrator etc. from Shawn Soh, a designer, also the publicity head. He's a really cool guy lar haha! Believing that this ministry will help me alot.

OMG!!!! Today was a really really really great day, except for one or two things that caused it not to be a perfect day...
Here's why it is a bad day:
1) Math Test was screwed...
It was an easy paper, but fulllllllllll of carelessness...

2) Alot of people are getting sick these days...
It's like 1 person in my class was sick initially, but today, 3 was sick, excluding those who did not go home...

Here's why it is a good day:
1)Project Work PRESNTATION IS OVER!!!
Next: Geog Project, ACE project, Geog Test
After that, all I can think of next is: A WHOLE CHAIN OF FUN!

CIP!
JAPAN YOG TRIP! (30th May - 6th June)
CHURCH CAMP! (14th june - 18th june).

of course, there'll be June holiday homework and revision too...

2)I PASS MY GRADE 8 PIANO PRACTICAL EXAM!!!!
Okay, actually it's the process+results that made me shocked.
Anyone who knows what I felt before the exam, heard me play before the exam, and sees my results, will be equally shocked..

Here's the story:

1 Month before the exam, I hvnt finished learning my last exam piece and hvnt touched scales.

2 Weeks before the exam, I was still learning my last exam piece and just started on scales.

1 week before exam, I JUST finished learning my last exam piece, alot of flaws on scales and exam piece.

1 day before the exam, since I just finished my exam piece and scales, I had totally no confidence to sit for exam so soon.

During the exam, I screwed up my 1st piece (a whole lot of stops and errors), I couldn't play any scales except for 3 or 4 out of... over 10? I screwed up one part of aural and my sight reading.

Here's what i expected to get after my exam:
1st Piece: 15/30
2nd Piece: 27/30
3rd Piece: 28/30
Scales: 7/21
Sight Reading:10/21
Aural: 11/18
Total: 98/150

FYI: Passing mark for piano is 100/150.
Passing mark for pieces: 20/30
Passing mark for scales: 14/21
Passing mark for Sight reading: 14/21
Passing mark for Aural: 12/18

Therefore, i expected myself to fail.
Here's what I got for my exam:
1st Piece: 18/30
2nd Piece: 18/30
3rd Piece: 26/30
Scales: 11/21
Sight Reading:16/21
Aural: 14/18
Total: 103/150

AND I PASSED!!!!! The examiner is so kind! Thank God!

Career day today made me wonder a whole lot of things...
Okay, for example I'm interested in becoming a surgeon, so I have to learn medicine and this course is only available in NUS with only 250 slots available. I mean, you're competing with the whole of Singapore for this popular choice. How is it possible to get in?? haha. And let's say dentistry, they have only a pathetic 40 slots available and it's another popular choice.

In order to enter this medicine course, I need AAA/A for A levels, and I don't think it's that easy right? Interview and portfolio... especially portfolio, what am I going to write in my year 6 portfolio??? -.- I really need to start to be pro-active already.

Afterall, i feel that i'm more determined to study now and because i think it's a challenge in which I love to take on.

Exam is tomorrow!!
I was afraid until afew minutes ago, when i received a few unpredicted smses which made my day, especially 1 of them which i least expected. But it really made me feel confident and looking forward to exam tomorrow (a.k.a last time i'm gonna take a piano exam, unless i fail...)

And, i know God will give me the courage and guide me as i play tomorrow :D

It was a bad day today until competitions came...
Won RV 3-2 today, but the score wasn't satisfactory.
Saw Pang Xue Jie playing for sports school and my jaws almost dropped ._.

Anyways, sometimes i just wonder why are boys so self-centred, unlike girls who care for their friends and it's easier to find a true friend among girls?

Why do some people speak without thinking and reflecting on themselves, saying other people have a high ego when she herself is worse? Don't they ever feel for others? And most importantly, Call that a christian?

Thank God that there are still people who are more sensitive to others feelings though.

But of course, i won't dwell in this matter but just to come to a realization and not be so naive anymore, choose the right friends. It's really different in school and in church you know... Forgiving is something i wish to do but can't if there's no apology.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY XIAO XUAN! XD

Today's Sunday, had a typical Sunday service and had a haircut after that to avoid being caught by Mr TEO tomorrow hahaha. After that, we went to the library and i got a book about photography. Oh before that, *hint* i want a DSLR camera *hint* hahaha. Xiao Xuan(birthday girl), Becky, Jean, Shaun, James, Sarah, me and my bro went to fly kite outside sun plaza park after that and apparently we failed cause it started raining halfway... hahahaha. And as usual, many stupid and retarded and funny things happened haha.

Went to Evening service after that instead of Grandma's house for dinner due to some unforseen circumstances. After the Service, something happened which was really heartbreaking. Don't mention it already, cause everything is in God's hands now.

There's a verse i would like to share cause it impacted me during my devotions one of the days.

The suckiest Suckiest SUCKIEST thing happened during watchnight towards the end, guess what? MY PHONE WENT OUT OF BATTERY! Couldn't send out wishes to all of my friends but only some cause i borrowed my mom's phone :x but the worst Worst WORST of all is that i couldn't contact... a friend which i wanted to pass a present to. Omgosh i really have to thank god about yesterday haha! Here's the story...

One day, a boy woke up at 7 to go for training in school at supposedly 9am. When he was waiting for the bus outside his house, he re-checked his phone and realised that his training was at 2pm. So he thanked god that he double checked before boarding the bus. BUT! But he has some church stuff (helping ezekiel with his connect group) at 2 pm!!! WHAT ON EARTH?! (for those who don't understand: The timings crash) So he was angry that the 教练(for those whose chinese suck: Coach) anyhow change timing the way he wanted. So the boy smsed his teacher incharged to seek permission to miss this training and the teacher incharged would most probably not allow since competition is around the corner and since i'm one of the players. And true enough, he didnt really allow through what he said in his SMS, but he didn't know it was Jonathan(me, the boy) who sent it. So when i replied i was Jonathan, he CALLED me. So in the midst of playing game... (oops) I answered his call. To cut the long story short, he allowed me to skip training and come for Wednesday's training instead :D See, prayers work :D

In Ezekiel's house, Becky, me, Ezekiel and the kids played games, ate chocolate fondue and ice-cream. The 3 of us were playing taboo while waiting for the kids to come. Apparently it was funny because of the funny descriptions and guesses we made... videos are with ezekiel haha. After the kids left, we went to Pasir Ris Park for BBQ with the 5/6 youths. Had fun time of fellowship with all the food and funny jokes to fill our stomachs lol.

Encounter is just over, I do have testimonies to share but I won't post it here :D To summarize, even though i went there with an intention of accompanying only, I went there with an expectant heart that God will resolve my current problems and true enough, he gave me directions and confirmed it. It's a really fulfilling encounter even though it's my 2nd time going for youth encounter :D

These few days have been very very dramatic. Really praying hard now, hoping that nothing will happen, hoping that we're not affected. Leaving everything to god, praying that he'll speak to me through the encounter about my choices. Yep, gonna be away for encounter these next 2 days. 2nd encounter so far and it's because this is where i got my gift of the holy spirit, can still remember the scene on that day.

While reading my bible on the bus one of the days, i just felt something about this verses below:

Just came back in helping for kids camp and i have a whole bunch of testimonies. It was really fun, even though the kids were really really irritating because most of them really got a heck-care attitude, but afterall they're kids :D My team, Judah, was really one of the naughtiest team, i mean the boys. They were really uncontrollable at times and all of them have they're own way of being irritating, such as being blur, rude, hyperactive, stubborn etc etc. but you know kids who are naughty, they are really enthusiastic. I was really really happy when they were participating even more enthusiastically than the tribe leader/assistant leader haha. Made really cool friends in this camp, but most importantly, i believe god has made me a more confident person.

Over this camp i got my mind cleared up, i wasn't making the right choices in life previously. It's really a totally different thing being in the house of God and in school or public. You tend to get influenced badly more easily in the public, but not in church. Hmmm i dunno wad to say now cause i just had less than 12 hours of sleep over these 4 days 3 nights ._." Yea, the kids were the cause lol. YES! There's edge later on too, gonna replenish my sleep now cya.

2nd day of Edge Conference is over. Seriously, it never fails to give us a blasting time. I'm seriously speechless and when i'm speechless means it's... just... AWESOME. Anyone who isn't going is missing out something big. :O

Met up this friend today just to invite him/her to the conference, but he/she said he/she believes in himself/herself only. You know what? If you're reading this, i'll tell u this: If you believe in yourself only, I'll believe that you'll come to church one day to believe in God. :) And i'm very very sure :D Just... (wait and see) :P

Class chalet is over... it's time for The Edge Conference! Hmmm, class chalet was not fun but the fellowship time we had together was a BLAST. Needless to say, wild wild wet was really fun haha! But sadly, eli and SiJia couldnt go. It was fun having BBQ too :D But i really wanna know why those people who said they'll turn up did not turn up in the end.

Haiz,about the bad stuff of course i won't post it here. If you really really really want to know right... ask me or ask me again and i MIGHT tell. But i'll say now that sometimes it's better to clear up any misunderstandings and it's really really really not good to be overly sensitive. You know, sometimes i really wanna know what am i thinking and what are others thinking...

Before i start, this section might sound abit exaggerative, BUT seriously, it's what i think and it's nothing but the truth :O Eh Jie Yu, seriously don't feel 自卑la, this chalet was like completely 你的功劳 la,i mean others also did help either alot of a little :D (To the others reading this passage: please don't misunderstand) When i said errr.. why you never attend the chalet right, i was joking only lol. Okay, maybe i meant it a little bit BUT I DIDN'T MEAN TO LET YOU FEEL BAD LA o.o" You should know i like to "suan" people one what lol. Okay, let me repeat the sms lol, of course with alittle bit or edition and paraphrasing :O. You booked the chalet, you planned the activities and location, you bought the food, you took time off from your volleyball chalet just to settle us down and check whether we're doing fine, you brought the board games for us, you sacrificed your sleep just to come for our BBQ... walao so many things you dont want me to name them all out right? See! It's like EVERYTHING'S DONE BY YOU LA lol. I mean others did help la but not as much as you right? lol. The activities you planned would really be successful, but just that we made it flexible and due to unforseen circumstances we had to change some activities o.o". Ok my main point is that you've organized this chalet successfully and there's nothing you should feel bad about :P You're like our class "mother"... no offence, really lol. Yea, that is exactly what i thought lol.

It's the end of the week again. Hmmm... Let's start with Friday.

Friday was what i called the "awkward day"... Well, i invited Amanda, SiJia, Casandra, HongYi, Timothy, Shing Chun to my house to play basketball, thought they knew each other but ended up with 2 muted cliques ._. We Bballed for i think 1 hour or so and it started raining, then we went to the club house to play table-tennis and cards. Haha, good think HongYi was there so i we could split the team evenly. The girls just sat in the room and played cards. Later, YuShan came, expected to see her "bald", but didn't cause she only cut her ponytail lar -.-"

Saturday morning, went bowling with Lester and messed the 1st 2 games up, both below 100 LOL. BUT I FINALLY KNEW HOW TO SPIN!! O.O" The last game i played by myself and scored 124. At least over 100... Then we went to Tampines, i had to catch my church bus to Yishun haha. The Edge was rather fun too, the worship was quite different from usual ones in someway, hmmm... Then after The Edge, Shaun my bro and me went to the airport to pick SookYi up, had dinner at Popeyes and went home. I FINALLY finished my polynomials worksheet on the bus journeys haha.

Today... Sunday... couldn't wake up cause i was sick the whole night even after i woke up. OMG I MISSED CHURCH... Haiz.. Sian lar, so i shouldn't say much now -_-" NVM! Edge Conference is coming up this Thursday to Saturday, it's going to be SUPER FUN. Muahahahha. Ohhh Class Chalet is on this tuesday to thursday o.o But only 2 boys.. Hmmm i felt bored 3 days before because i was stuck at home the whole day with nothing to do ._."So, i decided to... COOK! LOL, i dunno if it's aunty-like or what, but what's wrong with guys cooking? haha! Last November and December i felt bored at home so i started cooking and decided to cook again yesterday :P

I cooked Hainanese Chicken Rice, and it was only my 3rd time cooking it ok... But i decided to cook it in another way, not the way my mom taught me, but following the instruction booklet o.o" Overall... i know it doesn't look nice cause i don't know how to cut the chicken.. BUT IT TASTED WONDERFUL haha! Really... -.-I mean REALLY. lol. Except for the chilli sauce which was abit fail cause i forgot to ask my mom to buy red chilli :X

Wohoo! Today was kind of fun haha! Went to church in the morning and saw my brother playing on the main keyboard for his first time today, during service I couldn't help but to keep dozing off ...Maybe because i was super tired this morning suddenly, don't know why...

After church, we went for lunch opposite and then went to City Hall to grab my Cappo and James collected his stuff too. We went to Bras Bashir (correct?) to get some books, i got my 城南旧事 FINALLY. Sorry Shu Lin didn't help you buy because i had not enough money ._." I kind of made us late for Youth Rally for 7 minutes because the popular qeue was STINKING LONG and it was hard to find my book among all the chinese books... Haha

YOUTH RALLY WAS AWSOME! The dance competition especially. Gin Ming was owning the whole dance floor haha :/ She and her regional team were Fabulous, seriously. We had free Astons after that and we celebrated Jame's birthday. OH! HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY JAMES! haha. Guess you will be overseas by the time you read this, or maybe you won't even read lol.

There's a very very special feeling whenever it comes to the end of Sundays, it's like you had so much fun which is uncomparable to the fun you have when going out with school friends, maybe it's just the joy you have going to church :) So church is really fun seriously, God's always good :)

Went for table-tennis training this morning from 9-12. Saw these few boys taking the 'BEEP!' Test o.o" and alot of them got to level 21 ._." I thought they were some crazy idiots or what... no wonder it's because the distance was shorter HAHA!

Training was fun, but i dont understand why WHY WHY?! Why everytime when it comes to 胜将(correct?) competition and i lose one game, i'll lose the rest BADLY... -.-" From here i conclude that TABLE-TENNIS IS A MENTAL AND PHYSICAL TOTURE. But it nourishes the soul :D LOL jkjk. But it's fun lar haha!

After training, i rushed back home, rushed bathing, and rushed to Tampines Mall to meet Shaun, SookYi and my brother for SWENSENS :O I ate Chilli fish Spaghetti and Mango Fantasy. The chilli fish Spaghetti was AWSOME, but the Mango Fantasy wasn't to my liking haha.

After finishing my Swensens, it was still raining outside... HAD TO CANCEL BASKETBALL BECAUSE OF THE FREAKING RAIN... I WAS STILL LOOKING FORWARD TO IT LAR! -.-" Anyways the 4 of us shopped around tampines mall, century square and Tampines 1 haha. OH AND I MET NICOLETTE AT TAMPINES 1 ENTRANCE! But she never say bye then leave already lor -.- Most Polite LOL. But actually i don't really care lar haha!

After shopping, went back home, played guitar and Games, COULDN'T DO HOMEWORK AGAIN o.o" Played table-tennis AGAIN at 9Pm with my bro haha.

Oh he fell because his SLIPPERS had little friction lol.

Church in the morning, went down to Carpenter's Workshop to help out.

After church, we went to tampines stadium 日本村to eat the 99cents sushi. Spent $13 for my lunch and felt really bloated haha.

Anyone who goes there to eat MUST try to deep fried sushi and the Chawanmushi. Super nice.

Went bowling this morning at Tampines Safra and there was a bowling competition even being held there that time. Actually Tjun Sern was supposed to come but he last minute say his mom don't allow (obviously it's not true). Oh and YuShan was supposed to come also but apparently she changed her mind after hearing that she was the only girl going :O Where did all her friends go?! LoL. Haha Anyways sorry YuShan, I couldn't get somemore people to come >.<"

Realised that the 4 people promotion was over yesterday -.- So we had to pay 1.20 for shoes and 3.50 for each game -_-" i played 4 games, 3 with Tian Wei and 1 alone haha. My scores were 113, 87?,117? and 98 :O Completely screwed up haha. BUT i started off the day with a STRIKE! Haha. I was trying so hard to spin the ball but i still can't after dunno how many practices -.-" actually yea i did spin abit la... Lester played one game by his own haha.

After bowling, we played pool just beside the Alley and here are the videos ._. MUST WATCH the Lester & TianWei's retarded video hahah! Oh and LISTEN TO THE CONVO for all the videos too. Haha
